ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
MEET THE CO-ORDINATOR: Dan Quigley
Bedlington Juniors launched their Tots programme in April 2015 from which our current under 8s team was formed in September 2015. The latest graduates have together formed the under 7s Dragons for the 16/17 season with coach Mike Wilson graduating with them. The programme has since been relaunched in May of this year and is now co-ordinated by Level 2 coach Daniel Quigley and assisted by James Pogue. The programme is currently open to all children aged 4 and 5 running on a Saturday morning 9-10am at £1 per session.
Tots co-ordinator Daniel Quigley represented Bedlington Juniors at under 7 and under 8s and then returned to play for the club at under 17 level. Dan has been coaching with the club for 4 years completing his level 1 qualification in June 2013 and in November 2015 gained his “Coaching Disabled Footballers” qualification and also qualified as an FA Level 2 coach. Dan coached the club’s Under 7 Benfica side between 2013 and 2015 which saw them compete in The Champion’s League during the 14/15 season. For the first part of the 15/16 Dan worked with the u8s Eagles side and for the later half our u15 Real side, gaining experience coaching older players. Most recently Dan has joined the club’s committee in his new role as Tots Co-ordinator whilst completing his second year at Northumbria University studying Sports Coaching.
